What Can DoAble Do and How Do I Use It?

DoAble is designed to collect and keep all of the various dates in your life and present them under one, easy to use, interface. Using data from your ToDo, Schedule, and other third party applications, DoAble lets you view summaries and drill down to see the details. In addition to date organization, DoAble has features to keep and collect emergency information, date calculators, a recurring event manager, radar flags, and more.

You need a PDA running PalmOS version 3.0 or above and about 100K of space available for the application, plus some additional space for your data (another 20K will be enough for most people). PDAs that have PalmOS 3.0 or above include all devices made by Palm since the Palm III (1998), all devices from Handspring (including the Treo models), all devices from Sony, all of the Kyocera PalmOS Smart Phones, the TRG Pro, the Handera, all of the IBM Workpad series, the PalmOS based Symbol devices, and the PalmOS based Samsung phones. If you need a PDA or want to upgrade, we have a list of devices that we recommend.
Is There a Way to Enter My Information From the Desktop?
Since DoAble uses data from the built in ToDo, Datebook, and Memo applications, data entered on the desktop for these applications is supported by DoAble. The same is true for other supported applications like Agendus and ToDo PLUS.
To install DoAble only on your PDA, follow these instructions:
- Download one of the files above. (They both have the same version of DoAble. The zip file is smaller and the exe file is a user friendly application for Microsoft Windows that will install it for you.)
- Save the file to your desktop.
- When the download is complete, double click the file's icon on your desktop.
- If you downloaded the exe, follow the instructions on the screen.
- If you downloaded the zip, you should now see the prc file inside the zipped folder. Double click DoAble.prc and it should launch the Palm installation tool and set it up for installation. Then close the installation tool and do the same for the defaultquotes.pdb file. Close the installation tool when you are finished.
When you are finished, press the HotSync button on your Palm or Palm Cradle.
The unregistered version is limited to usage for 15 days. A periodic message will appear to remind you to register. A license must be purchased by using our Buy Now feature within your first 15 days. To register the application, choose About from the preferences screen and click the Register button. You will need to provide either the Palm User Name as it appears on this screen or the series of letters and numbers separated by dashes for registration. If you provide this information at the time of purchase, an unlock key will be emailed to you. Future versions of the application may require an upgrade fee.
Future versions may require an upgrade fee. If your purchase was within 6 months of an upgrade that requires a fee, please contact us. To upgrade your version at any time, simply download the newest file and install the same way you first installed the application. Do not delete the application from your desktop first or you could destroy your data!
